Travel to Egypt: Resurgence Conference and Retreat

Transforming women’s economic leadership

13 days / 12 nights · From November 17th to 29th, 2023

The woman in Ancient Egypt played a role identical to that of men. If this society was different from other civilizations of the ancient world in any way, it was the fact that women precisely had the same rights as men. The woman had her own identity, which allowed her to buy possessions, inherit, disinherit, and divorce, among other rights, and perform jobs that were prohibited for women until just a century ago, such as medicine.

Besides, They could occupy high levels in the administration. However, even though these rights existed legally, many women never came to exercise them due to the strict social hierarchy.

The vast majority of people were included in the lowest stratum of society, that of farmers and ranchers. On this trip, we are going to see first-hand that surprising reality that makes Ancient Egypt the most advanced culture in the ancient world, much more than Greece or Rome, thousands of years later.
